Between the lanes are four districts (Theater, Chinatown, Haunted Lot and Plaza) full of neutral camps, breakables and soul machines. Farming them well is how you turn a quiet lane into an item lead.
Everything in the jungle gives haunted souls. They secure slowly over time, and if you die with too many unsecured, part of them drops as a soul bag. See haunted souls.
Camps (haunts)
The City Never Sleeps update replaced every jungle camp with nine new haunt families: Barrel Mimics, Past Dues, Festival Spirits, Slum Shrooms, Crabbage Pots, Stage Hands, Specimens, Gutter Ghouls and Underhands. Each family has its own special attacks, but they all fall into three tiers:
| Tier | Health | Souls | First spawn | Respawn | Resists (bullet / spirit) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Small (I) | 129 | 41 (+0.44/min) | 2:00 | 1:25 | 50% / 45% |
| Medium (II) | 322 | 68 (+0.73/min) | 5:00 | 4:50 | 50% / 45% |
| Large (III) | 1,133 | 181 (+1.95/min) | 8:00 | 5:35 | 60% / 55% |
- Camp souls are split evenly between everyone who damaged the camp.
- Camps have high resistances, so heroes with strong area damage or turret-style abilities clear them much faster.
- Learn which camps are near your lane. Clearing the nearest small camp between waves is free income.
Sinner’s Sacrifice
Sinner’s Sacrifice machines are the jungle’s jackpot. There are 15 machines across 11 locations, sometimes alone and sometimes next to medium camps.
| Details | |
|---|---|
| First spawn | 8:00 |
| Respawn | 5 min after breaking (solo machines), or once a mixed camp is fully cleared |
| Health | 500, melee only |
| Hits to break | 10 light or 5 heavy |
| Hits back | 80 damage per hit (320–640 in total) |
| Value | 310 + 3.35 per minute |
How payouts work: each light hit pays 1/20 of the value, each heavy hit 1/10, and the final hit pays half the value plus a heavy-hit payout.
The jackpot
After the machine takes 300 damage, a timing minigame starts. Time your hit right to break the machine and win permanent buffs:
- Light melee finisher: 1 random buff
- Heavy melee finisher: 4 random buffs
Buffs include fire rate, max ammo, cooldown reduction, weapon damage, max health, spirit power, bullet resist, spirit resist, move speed and ability range. They get stronger later in the match.
Tip: come in with plenty of health. The machine hits back on every strike, and enemies love to ambush players who are busy hitting it.
Notable locations
- Bell Tower (Chinatown): three machines at the top. Hitting the machines, or anything breakable up there, rings a bell the whole map can hear, so expect company.
- Sunken Plaza (Plaza): two machine sites and two camps in a fog that slowly drains your stamina. The deeper you go, the better the rewards and the harder it is to escape.
Crates
There are more than 500 crates on the map.
| Crate | How to break | Souls | Drop chance |
|---|---|---|---|
| Wooden crate | Shoot, punch, use an ability, or dash or slide through it | 23 + 2 per minute | 60% |
| Tough crate (teal, metal-edged, added Sept 29, 2026) | Heavy melee only | Double a wooden crate | 100% |
Most crates spawn at 3:00 and respawn 3 minutes after being broken. Tunnel crates run on 5-minute timers, and the room above the Mid Boss pit spawns at 10:00.
Crates scale with time. A wooden crate at 30 minutes is worth 83 souls, more than a small camp. Break every crate on your path between lanes.
Golden statues (buff containers)
Golden statues have a 50% chance to drop a permanent stat buff. They work like crates: break them by shooting, punching, using an ability, or moving through them fast enough.
- Buffs: fire rate, max ammo, cooldown reduction, weapon damage, max health, spirit power, bullet resist, spirit resist, move speed and ability range. Max health is the most common drop; move speed and ability range are the rarest.
- Strength: buffs get bigger at 10:00 and again at 30:00. For example, the max health buff is +15, then +20, then +30.
- Timers: most spawn at 3:00 and respawn 3 minutes after breaking. Tunnel statues use 5-minute timers, and the Times Square room spawns at 10:00.
These small permanent stats add up over a long game.
Underground tunnels
The tunnels have their own crates and statues (on 5-minute timers) and cockroaches worth 1 soul each. They’re also a safe way to move around the map unseen.
When to farm the jungle
- Your lane wave has just died or been pushed, and the next wave is 20+ seconds away.
- You’re rotating between lanes. Take the route with camps and crates on it.
- Your team doesn’t need you right now, with no objective or fight about to happen.
Don’t farm when your team is grouping for the Mid Boss, the Rift, the Urn or a push. Five against six loses fights, and lost fights cost more than any camp is worth.

Frequently asked questions
When do jungle camps spawn in Deadlock?
Small camps spawn at 2:00 and respawn 1:25 after being cleared. Medium camps spawn at 5:00 (respawn 4:50), and large camps at 8:00 (respawn 5:35). Sinner's Sacrifice machines appear at 8:00.
How do you hit the Sinner's Sacrifice jackpot?
After the machine takes 300 damage, it starts a timing minigame. Hit it at the right moment to break it and win the jackpot. A light melee finisher gives one random permanent buff; a heavy melee finisher gives four.
What do golden statues give in Deadlock?
Golden statues (buff containers) have a 50% chance to drop a permanent stat buff when broken, such as max health, fire rate, spirit power, resists or move speed. The buffs get stronger at 10 and 30 minutes.
