There’s no shop in Street Brawl. Every item you get comes from a draft before each round, and drafting well is half of winning the mode.
How the draft works
- You get 50 seconds before each round.
- You’re shown three sets of three items and take one from each set.
- Everything you draft stays with you for the rest of the match. There’s no item limit: past 12 items, the game switches to a bigger item panel.
- You can reroll one set per round. If you queued with the random hero option, you get an extra reroll in rounds 1 to 3.
- If an offer is an upgrade of an item you already own, taking it also gives you a bonus lower-tier item.
- Counter items are more likely to be offered against particular heroes.
- Normal and legendary items can both appear as enhanced versions with better stats.
- Rare offers are mirrored. If your team is offered a rare, enhanced or legendary item, the enemy team gets an equivalent offer.
What each round offers
| Round | Tiers offered |
|---|---|
| 1 | Tiers 1 to 3 |
| 2 | Tiers 2 to 3 |
| 3 | Tiers 2 to 4 |
| 4 | Tiers 3 to 4, with a chance of a tier 5 legendary |
| 5 | Tiers 3 to 4, with a chance of a tier 5 legendary |
How to draft well
- Pick a direction in round 1. Decide whether your hero is building for gun, spirit or a mix, then keep drafting that way. Five rounds of items that stack together beat fifteen good items that don’t. Our build theory guide explains the three directions, and every hero guide lists what that hero wants.
- Look at the enemy first. Before you pick, check what you’re up against. Heavy healing calls for anti-heal; lots of stuns call for debuff removal; a team of gunners calls for bullet resist. See counter-building.
- Take survival early. Rounds 1 and 2 only offer tiers 1 to 3, and a death costs 25 seconds of a 3-minute round. A cheap health or resist item often wins more fights than a small damage boost.
- Reroll the worst set. You can only reroll one set, so spend it on the set with nothing useful, not on the set where you’re torn between two good options.
- Take upgrades when they fit. An upgrade of an item you already own comes with a bonus lower-tier item, so it’s often worth more than it looks.
- Build around a legendary. Legendaries can turn up in rounds 4 and 5. If one fits your hero, take it and let the rest of your round 5 picks support it.
All 17 legendary items
Legendary items are tier 5 and only exist in Street Brawl. In-game they show a nominal value of 9,999 souls, but you can’t buy them; they only come from the draft. Each one has its own page with full stats.

Items that work differently in Street Brawl
A handful of regular items are changed in this mode. Alchemical Fire does 30% less damage, Cursed Relic lasts 2.75 seconds instead of 3.25, Mystic Expansion and Greater Expansion give less radius, and Golden Goose Egg is disabled. All ability and item ranges are also 10% shorter than in standard play.
