Valve released Baba on Tuesday, October 6, 2026 at 2pm PT, the second hero of the City Never Sleeps rollout. Valve called the vote “a close contest” before she took it.
Baba at a glance
- Threadsap fires a line of thread that steals spirit power from everyone it hits. Baba gets more than she takes, and while she holds stolen spirit her bullets deal bonus spirit damage.
- Granny Long Legs gives her bench legs: extra speed, higher jumps, resistances, a kick that knocks enemies back and a ground pound that knocks them up.
- Baba’s Brew splashes an area with one of three brews that cycle on their own: a barrier for allies, a silence, or a burn that lowers spirit resist. Alt-fire pauses the cycle.
- Feed The Birds, her ultimate, is a long channel that slows everyone she throws bread at. When it ends, pigeons mob them for heavy damage and hex them into pigeons.

Ranked Season 1 extended
The first ranked season was due to end on October 7. It now ends on Thursday, November 5, 2026 at 2pm PT, and Season 2 starts straight after. Nothing else about ranked changed. See how ranked works.
No balance changes
This was a release-only update. The last balance changes came a day earlier, in the October 5 Rat King and Sinclair nerfs.
