City Never Sleeps had given every Street Brawl player a Corrupted item after the round 5 item draft: a powerful item with a random drawback. On Sunday, October 4, 2026, an unannounced update removed it. The change wasn’t in any patch notes; it was spotted in the game files.
This follows the October 2 update, which quietly took the Broker, the merchant who sold Corrupted items, out of Standard and Ranked matches. Together, the two changes remove Corrupted items from the game for now. Valve may bring them back in a different form.
Nothing else about Street Brawl changed. Our Street Brawl guide and item draft guide cover the mode as it plays now.
